- Relevant diploma or qualification in culinary arts
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a fine dining, 5-star lodge or boutique hotel
- Confident, well-spoken, and comfortable engaging with guests daily
- Support the Executive Chef in kitchen operations: prep, production, stock control, scheduling, and compliance
- Contribute to menu development, incorporating sustainability and zero-waste principles
- Assist in managing and mentoring junior kitchen staff with a focus on skills development and local upliftment
- Collaborate with FOH to ensure seamless food and wine pairings
- Help establish and maintain on-site gardens, integrating fresh produce into daily menus
