𝗝𝗗 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 is recruiting on behalf of an intimate luxury safari lodge situated within the renowned Welgevonden Game Reserve for an experienced and highly guest-focused 𝗟𝗢𝗗𝗚𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗥

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and highly guest-focused Lodge Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of an intimate luxury safari lodge situated within the renowned Welgevonden Game Reserve.

This is a small, personalised operation where exceptional hospitality and attention to detail are paramount. With a small team, the Lodge Manager will need to be extremely hands-on, operationally involved and highly visible to both guests and staff.

This position would suit an energetic hospitality professional who genuinely enjoys being on the floor, engaging with guests and working alongside their team. This is not an office-based management position.

As part of a small team, the Lodge Manager must be willing and able to assist wherever required. There needs to be a strong understanding that no task is beneath the position and that leading by example will be fundamental to the success of the role.

𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦

• Previous experience in a Lodge Manager, Assistant Lodge Manager, Camp Manager, Front of House Manager or similar senior operational role
• Strong preference for candidates with previous experience in a small, intimate luxury lodge operation.
• Excellent guest relations and hosting skills.
• Naturally warm, engaging and confident when interacting with guests.
• A genuine passion for personalised hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Extremely hands-on approach to lodge management.
• Comfortable assisting across departments when required.
• Strong food and beverage and front-of-house understanding.
• Excellent eye for detail and high standards regarding presentation, cleanliness and service.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Able to manage and motivate a small team while remaining very much part of that team.
• Able to work effectively within a remote bush environment.
• Good computer literacy and general administrative ability.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Valid driver’s licence.
