Lodge Manager | Arusha, Tanzania

𝗝𝗗 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading luxury hospitality group in Tanzania for an experienced and guest-focused 𝗟𝗢𝗗𝗚𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗥

Our client a respected hospitality company is looking for a polished, hands-on lodge manager to take the helm of an exclusive lodge in Arusha, making sure every guest enjoys a truly memorable stay.

The successful candidate will oversee every department, including food & beverage, housekeeping, spa, maintenance and grounds, and will personally welcome guests and take ownership of their experience from arrival to departure. The role carries full financial accountability for the lodge, covering budgets, operating and capital spend, asset and stock control, as well as the training, welfare and performance of the lodge team.

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

• A diploma or degree in hospitality or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years’ management experience in a luxury lodge environment.
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional, personalised service to discerning guests.
• Strong all-round knowledge of lodge operations, including F&B, housekeeping, spa, maintenance and grounds.
• Sound financial skills, including budgeting, cost control, capex and opex management and asset registers.
• Experience in stock and store control, including running a lodge shop.
• Hands-on people management experience: rosters, leave, appraisals, disciplinary processes and staff welfare.
• A natural trainer and mentor who can coach heads of department and junior staff to consistent standards.
• Computer literate, with good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• A self-motivated, visible leader with a warm and professional guest presence.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Willing to be based at the lodge in Arusha, Tanzania.
