𝗝𝗗 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 is recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded luxury heritage Guest House set on a secluded Karoo sheep farm for an experienced and hands-on 𝗚𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗣𝗟𝗘

This is an opportunity to take responsibility for a distinctive, intimate guesthouse in the Karoo, offering exclusive-use. Set within a remote and beautiful farm environment, the property is known for its heritage character, considered interiors, gardens and exceptional attention to guest comfort. Although the operation is small in scale, it caters to discerning visitors and places a strong emphasis on thoughtful hosting, privacy and consistently high standards.

The successful couple will work closely together, combining strengths across guest relations, reservations, hosting, catering and the day-to-day upkeep of the accommodation and surrounding grounds. One partner will take the lead on guest communication, bookings, stay preparation, marketing and the overall operation of the homestead, while the other will oversee catering, farm-produce preparation, guided walks when requested, and general building and vehicle maintenance.

Both will play an active role in creating a warm, personalised experience and liaising with the small team, owners, farm management and external service providers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a five-star hospitality environment, or a comparable luxury guest operation.
• Confident, personable hosts who can engage naturally with discerning guests while maintaining warmth, discretion and professionalism.
• A sound understanding of hospitality operations and the ability to maintain and improve service standards across a small, hands-on operation.
• Strong organisational, administrative and reporting skills, with excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Afrikaans language skills would be an advantage.
• Self-motivated, practical and solutions-focused, with the ability to work independently and take ownership without close supervision.
• An interest in the natural environment and willingness to learn basic animal care, including assisting with orphan lambs during the lambing season.
• Both partners must hold a valid driver’s licence.
