Game Lodge Manager | Easten Cape

𝗝𝗗 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 is partnering with an exclusive luxury lodge in the Eastern Cape to recruit an experienced and guest centric 𝗟𝗢𝗗𝗚𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗥

This role is ideally suited to a hands-on hospitality leader with a positive, energetic and caring attitude who takes pride in delivering personalised guest experiences. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the lodge and villa, ensuring exceptional service, efficient delivery and smooth coordination across all departments.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Lodge Manager will be responsible for accommodation, food and beverage, dining, recreational activities and guest services. The role includes supervising the lodge team through training, scheduling and performance management, while fostering successful teamwork and strong rapport within the team.

The successful candidate will uphold the highest standards of guest satisfaction by providing personalised service, resolving guest concerns and paying great attention to detail throughout each stay. The role also involves maintaining facilities, enforcing health and safety standards and procedures, and upholding the brand and its values.

The Lodge Manager plays a key leadership role in driving operational excellence, guest satisfaction and team performance, while balancing financial targets and resource management. Staying up to date on industry trends, regulations and best practices is essential, as is a genuine interest in wildlife conservation and sustainable practices.

Requirements

• Proven track record in leadership roles, with 5 years’ experience in a similar safari lodge operations position being highly advantageous
• Experience in running all aspects of the different lodge departments
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage and service
• Strong leadership, communication and people skills
• Excellent computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office (especially Excel), ResRequest and Sage POS
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge of wildlife conservation and sustainable practices
• Willingness to assist in all departments
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• A valid driver’s licence with driving experience, including confidence in driving a manual vehicle

Salary – R24 000 per month (negotiable) plus food allowance
