Camp Management Couple | Malawi

𝗝𝗗 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 is assisting a well-established safari operator in Malawi in sourcing an experienced and adventurous 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗣𝗟𝗘

Our client operates an exclusive, eco-conscious safari camp set on an open plain beside the Shire River in Liwonde National Park, Malawi. The camp offers an intimate guest experience centred on game drives, walking safaris and boat cruises in one of Malawi’s premier wildlife areas.

This is a hands-on, live-in role for a couple who together cover the full scope of camp operations — from guest experience and hospitality to staff management, stock control, maintenance and administration. The ideal candidates will be warm, organised and self-sufficient, with a genuine passion for the African bush.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

• Deliver warm, personalised guest experiences, overseeing F&B standards, menu planning, dietary requirements, activities, transfers and itineraries in conjunction with the chef and guides.
• Manage and motivate all camp staff, duty rosters, training, performance management and maintaining housekeeping and camp presentation to a high standard.
• Oversee stock control, ordering and supplier coordination for food, beverage and camp consumables; maintain accurate financial, administrative and reporting records.
• Ensure all maintenance issues (structural, mechanical, solar/power, water) are identified and resolved promptly; uphold health, safety and environmental standards throughout the camp.
• Liaise with National Parks authorities and neighbouring properties as required.

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

• Proven experience managing a camp or lodge, ideally as a couple and within East or Southern Africa.
• A genuine passion for hospitality, guest care and the African bush.
• Strong leadership and staff management skills, with the ability to train and motivate a small team.
• Solid administrative and financial acumen, including stock control and budgeting.
• Practical, hands-on maintenance ability is a strong advantage.
• Comfortable living and working in a remote, off-grid setting for extended periods.
• Eligibility to work in Malawi, or the ability to obtain the relevant work permit.

𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘆- USD 4,000 – 5,000 gross per month

𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁- Full-time. Live-in position. On-site accommodation provided.
