Executive Housekeeper | Zanzibar


JD Specialized Recruitment are partnering with a 5* Beach Resort in Zanzibar to recruit a highly experienced and energetic EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER to join their team.

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality or equivalent essential to obtain work permit.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Housekeeping where 5 years should be in a similar property managing at least 200 keys.
  • Previous experience working in East Africa highly preferred.
  • Skilled in overseeing and maintaining cleanliness aspects and standards of bedrooms, laundry and multiple guest areas.
  • Knowledgeable in housekeeping procedures, operating standards rotational cleaning programmes.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.  An additional European Language would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong financial acumen in managing budgets, expenses and preparing the department’s annual budget.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and attention to detail.
  • Must portray strong leadership skills, with a good sense of diplomatic leadership of a multinational team.
  • Experienced in supervising Horticultural activities (Landscaping, Gardens) would be highly beneficial.
  • Stable employment history displaying longevity and commitment in each position with contactable references.

Salary – $2300 net
