JD Specialized Recruitment is partnering with a Luxury Wine Estate in the Cape Winelands near Stellenbosch to recruit a highly experienced & passionate SOMMELIER to join their team.

PLEASE NOTE – It is essential that candidates reside in the Stellenbosch area or willing to relocate.

Requirements

· A Sommelier Diploma such as Cape Wine or similar with WSET level 3.

· 3 years’ experience in hospitality, service and guest interactions.

· Excellent knowledge of international wines and food & wine pairing.

· A passion and love for the wine industry.

· Confident in hosting guests with excellent communication skills.

· Neat, professional and approachable person with a good attention to detail.

· Strong leadership, sales, management, training and stock control skills.

· Good computer skills in MS Office and excellent email etiquette.

· Physically strong with stamina to work long hours & transport/carry wine.

· A team player with a developmental approach to staff.

· A Valid Driver’s license.

· Stable Employment History and contactable references.
