Sommelier | Eastern Cape

𝗝𝗗 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 is currently assisting an exclusive eco-luxury lodge in the Eastern Cape to recruit an experienced and passionate 𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗥

This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class team from the ground up and play a key role in shaping the lodge’s wine program and guest experience.

With a strong focus on personalised guest service and immersive dining experiences, the lodge aims to deliver warm, attentive, and memorable hospitality from day one. The Sommelier will play a key role in shaping the wine service journey, engaging directly with guests, elevating each meal through thoughtful pairing, and setting the tone for exceptional standards across the food and beverage offering.

Responsibilities:

• WSET Level 1 (or higher)
• Previous sommelier or high-level wine service experience in a luxury hospitality environment
• Confident presenting to and engaging with high-end clientele
• Conduct wine service during meals, ensuring world-class standards and guest engagement
• Host wine tastings, pairings, and educational experiences for guests
• Train and upskill front-of-house staff on wine knowledge and service etiquette
• Professional appearance and communication
• Ability to work in a remote lodge environment and as part of a close-knit team

Nationality – South African citizens

Salary –R18 000 with live-in
