This is a hybrid role, requiring the successful candidate to be in the office three days per week

This position calls for an individual who is passionate about creating exceptional tailor-made journeys across Africa, someone who thrives on curating immersive, high-touch travel experiences that reflect a deep understanding of both the destinations and the discerning clientele they serve. The Senior Reservations Consultant will be responsible for driving sales growth, maintaining exceptional service standards, and building long-term relationships with valued travel partners while delivering seamless, memorable experiences that exceed expectations.

Working closely with a global network of agents and partners, this role requires a confident communicator with strong commercial insight, operational understanding, and meticulous attention to detail. The ideal candidate will bring both creativity and precision to every itinerary, ensuring each journey is executed flawlessly from the initial enquiry through to post-travel follow-up. A strategic mindset, strong sense of initiative, and a genuine passion for Africa’s landscapes, cultures, and people are essential to succeed in this position.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4–5 years’ senior-level experience in luxury inbound travel, with a proven track record of designing bespoke itineraries and managing complex bookings across Africa.
• Tertiary qualification in Travel & Tourism or Hospitality.
• Comprehensive destination knowledge of Southern and East Africa and a good understanding of logistics, routing, and guest flow.
• Experience building and maintaining strong agent relationship and trust-based partnerships.
• Proven experience in preparing accurate, creative, and profitable quotations that align with company pricing and margin strategies.
• Exceptional organizational and administrative abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional European language would be advantageous.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Google Suite and booking systems such as TourPlan (or equivalent).
• A motivated self-starter with high energy, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
