Senior Duty Manager | Eastern Cape

This is an excellent opportunity for a polished and personable hospitality professional who thrives in a luxury bush environment. The successful candidate will take a hands-on approach to daily operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of service. Calm under pressure and naturally guest-focused, they will bring confidence, warmth, and strong interpersonal skills to the team.

This role offers significant long-term growth potential, with the successful candidate being closely involved in the planning and eventual management of a new camp set to open in 2026. It is therefore vital that the candidate has solid bush lodge experience, an adaptable mindset, and a genuine passion for the guest experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position within a high-end 5-star lodge environment
• Tertiary qualification in Hospitality or related field advantageous
• Proven ability to oversee both Front and Back of House operations with strong organizational and administrative skills
• Experience in bush-based lodge operations with an understanding of remote working environments
• Exceptional guest relations skills with a warm, confident, and professional demeanor
• Highly presentable with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Calm and composed under pressure with a hands-on, proactive approach
• Computer literate – knowledge of Easipos, Procure, and Protel advantageous
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
• Stable employment history with contactable and reputable references
• South African citizens only

Remuneration & Benefits

• Salary: On application | Defendant on experience
• Comfortable accommodation – one-bedroom house with kitchen and lounge
• 6 days off per month (best suited to candidates with a home base within the region)
