Operations Manager | East Africa

𝗝𝗗 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 is partnering with an established, award-recognized luxury lodge in East Africa to appoint a seasoned 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗥 with a strong guest-focused mindset.

This position calls for a confident hospitality professional who brings depth of leadership experience within high-end environments and who is comfortable taking full operational ownership in a remote, live-in setting. The successful candidate will be naturally hands-on, highly organized, and motivated by the challenge of balancing exceptional guest experiences with seamless day-to-day operations.

The role encompasses oversight of all lodge functions, including leading and developing on-site teams, managing financial and operational controls, engaging directly with guests, coordinating logistics and suppliers, and ensuring consistently high standards across every department. A genuine commitment to sustainability, people development, and delivering refined, memorable guest experiences is central to success in this role.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior lodge/hospitality management role gained at exclusive 5* luxury lodges or Boutique Hotels.
• A hospitality related qualification is essential for work permit applications.
• Candidates with Rooms Division experience preferred.
• Well versed in exclusive hotel operations and operating strategies, Rooms, Food and Beverage concepts and sales strategies
• Excellent financial management skills
• Advanced computer skills and well versed in Property Management Systems.
• Strong organizational, strategic planning, delegation, decision making, critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability and experience to network and build relationships in order to grow the business.
• A track record that displays the ability to execute the strategy, drive results and the ability to implement innovative ways to create a unique guest experience and maximize revenue.
• Stable employment history and contactable references.

Salary – USD salary plus live-in benefits
