JD Specialized Recruitment is partnering with a safari tour operator in Tanzania to identify a highly experienced OFFICE & SALES MANAGER to join their team in Arusha.

➡️ PLEASE NOTE – The Office & Sales Manager will lead the office in Arusha, managing the sales and reservations teams. This role is pivotal in overseeing the entire sales process, driving growth, and optimizing client experiences.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, proactive leader with a strong background in the safari industry, exceptional sales acumen, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agents, and suppliers.

This position is based in Arusha (live out)

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in a management role focused on sales within the safari, travel, or tourism industry, with a stable work history and contactable references.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience mentoring and motivating office teams, assessing and refining sales processes to enhance productivity and client satisfaction.
• Ability to oversee the design of tailored safari itineraries, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of destinations, accommodations, and experiences across East Africa. Familiarity with sales and reservation systems like WETU, Travelyst, or similar platforms is essential.
• Experience participating in international sales trade shows is highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to drive sales growth, build and maintain client relationships, track sales performance, and prepare detailed reports.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to handle guest complaints, last-minute changes, and minimize operational disruptions.
• A proactive and hands-on manager capable of stepping in to handle quotes, reservations, and other tasks when necessary.
• A stable work history with contactable references
