This exciting opportunity calls for a dynamic culinary leader with a strong background in high-volume, quality-driven kitchens. The ideal candidate will combine modern bistro flair with South African coastal freshness, driving creativity, consistency, and excellence across all kitchen sections. The Head Chef will lead a talented team, oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, manage cost control, and contribute to menu innovation and guest experience at this flagship West Coast venue.

Requirements

• Proven leadership in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen environment.
  • Experience with modern bistro-style dining and seasonal, locally sourced produce.
  • Ability to manage and oversee multiple sections: hot line, pastry, pizza, bakery, and deli.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to balance creativity with cost efficiency.
  • Excellent communication, delegation, and people management skills.
  • Proven ability to build a positive, structured kitchen culture, not chaos.
  • Passionate about innovation, menu development, and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Knowledge of health, hygiene, and safety compliance.
  • Stable employment history and contactable references essential.
