Head Chef | Sabi Sands


JD Specialized Recruitment are currently in search of a highly experienced and qualified HEAD CHEF to head up the kitchen department of an exclusive 5* lodge in the Sabi Sands.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3-year Diploma or Degree from a reputable culinary institution.
  • Kitchen Hygiene, Fire Safety and First Aid certificate.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a similar position in a luxury 5* bush-based property.
  • Remote working experience preferred.
  • Strong administration, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Procedure orientated, time management and ability to plan accordingly.
  • Up to date with international food trends and menu designs.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures and ability to mentor and train team members.
  • Stable employment history with contactable references.

*Current Food Portfolio to accompany application displaying creativity and attention to detail.  All images will be checked and verified for ownership of applicant.

Salary – On Application

Benefits – Live-in, Meals, Medical Aid and provident fund

Leave – 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off
