Financial Manager | Eastern Cape


 

JD Specialized Recruitment are partnering with a 5* Luxury Lodge in the Eastern Cape to recruit a highly experienced Financial Manager to join their team.

 

This position is ideally suited to a candidate based in the surrounding areas (e.g. Port Elizabeth, Kirkwood) due to its off-site nature. While remote working is expected, occasional on-site presence (approx. 2x per week) will be required. A strong background in finance is essential, with hospitality experience advantageous.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field – essential. Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Finance) highly beneficial.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of Senior Financial Management experience, preferably in a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Professional certification (CPA or similar) would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
  • Ability to develop financial strategies, assess risks, and advise leadership.
  • Proficient in financial systems and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Hospitality sector experience is preferred, but not a deal breaker.

Salary – R35 – R40k, live-out position
