𝗝𝗗 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 are currently recruiting for a prestigious 5* Island Resort in Mozambique to recruit an experienced 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗥

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on finance professional seeking a unique lifestyle role within a small, close-knit team in a breathtaking remote island environment. This position offers far more than a traditional accounting role. Based on a private island property, the Assistant Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and accurate financial administration of a luxury hospitality operation.

Working closely with the senior management and departmental heads, the successful candidate will oversee day-to-day accounting functions, support month-end processes, manage payroll and supplier reconciliations, and assist with operational finance controls across departments.

Due to the remote island setting, this role requires someone adaptable, resilient, and comfortable living and working in a small community where teamwork is essential. Flexibility is key, as the role may include Manager-on-Duty shifts and covering senior finance and stores management during leave periods.

This is ideal for a candidate who enjoys responsibility, independence, and being fully immersed in both the operational and financial heartbeat of a luxury hospitality environment.

Requirements

• Relevant Accounting / Finance qualification
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within hospitality
• Strong reconciliation and reporting skills
• Payroll and tax administration experience
• Experience with accounting systems
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Hands-on, proactive and solution-driven
• Comfortable living in a remote island environment
• Adaptable personality suited to small-team island living
